The rush to manage the new GDPR legislation followed a consistent pattern with organisations firstly carrying out a discovery phase to understand what level of sensitive content they held (see “Discovery of sensitive Content” page) followed by reviewing their processes around managing that sensitive data and responding to subject matter requests.

It’s fair to say a good many organisations have got on top of the governance issues around GDPR content but have yet to automate the process for handling subject matter requests which are frequently handled by spreadsheet.
